Brunel Drive, Newark (Purchase)
Rotherhill is pleased to announce the acquisition of Brunel House in Newark. The property is located within Brunel Drive Industrial Estate, the town’s principal industrial area.
The property comprises a building of 27,500 sq ft (ground floor GIA) with an additional extensive mezzanine, set upon a total site area of 2.65 acres. There is dual access and egress with 360 internal site circulation.
The property was purchased from Vodafone who most recently operated the building as a call centre facility. However, the building was originally constructed in 1989 as an industrial facility for Fleur de Lys Automobiles to manufacture vehicles.
The project plan is to undertake a refurbishment of the building over two phases, tailoring the finish to suit an end user.
Ed Jeffrey of Rotherhill comments: “It is satisfying to finalise the purchase of Brunel House after a number of months’ hard work. The building has good fundamentals and occupies a prominent position within the wider estate, which has excellent accessibility to the regional and national road network via the A46, A1 and A17.
“Newark has a low industrial vacancy rate, with a very limited supply of existing stock and long-standing occupiers. We are confident the property will appeal to tenants and owner occupiers who are looking to grow within the town, together with new entrants.”
“Our thanks to Will Torr of Heb for acting on our behalf with the acquisition. Heb has been retained to market the building alongside joint agent FHP.
