Rotherhill continues to invest in industrial opportunities in Melton Mowbray

Following the purchase of industrial units in Beler Way, Melton Mowbray, from Pye Properties, Rotherhill Developments has agreed a sale of part of the premises to the existing tenant, Mowbray Leather Goods.

Rotherhill has a further 1,500 sq ft unit at the site, adjacent to Mowbray Leather Goods, which has just gone under offer to another local purchaser.

Rotherhill owner and managing director Paul Bagshaw said: “I am delighted we have been able to agree a sale with Mowbray Leather Goods.

“With so little space available at the smaller end of the market, it enables this thriving business to remain in Melton providing security for its employees.”

Minh Phan, the owner of Mowbray Leather Goods said: “We were previously renting our unit, but we wanted to reorganise the space we occupied and Rotherhill gave us that opportunity.

“Paul said he was happy to split the premises into smaller units which suited us far better and he also gave us the opportunity to buy the freehold, which was our preferred option. It meant we were able to stay in Melton which may otherwise have been difficult as smaller units are hard to come by.”

Rotherhill was advised by commercial letting agents FHP.

FHP’s Tim Gilbertson said: “There is very little industrial space available for purchase in the Melton area, which is why these opportunities were snapped up so quickly.

“Rotherhill has provided smaller businesses a very rare chance to purchase in this size range, giving local firms the chance to stay in Melton and, hopefully, grow their businesses in the town.”

Rotherhill has recently purchased two further industrial units in Melton Mowbray, where it intends to develop a number of smaller units ranging in size from 1,500 to 10,000 sq ft and will be available to buy or to rent. Preliminary details can be obtained from Tim Gilbertson at FHP.
